The Markenverband (the German Brands Association), which was established in 1903 in Berlin, is the umbrella organisation of the German brand economy. The members generate a total turnover exceeding 300 billion euros in Germany’s consumer goods sector and approx. 200 billion euros in the service sector. This makes the Markenverband the largest association of its kind in Europe.
The member companies come, for example, from a variety of industries including food and non-food consumer goods, fashion and textiles, pharmaceutical products and services and include companies of all sizes, from medium-sized businesses to international corporations like August Storck, Beiersdorf, Hugo Boss, Coca-Cola, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Post, Falke, Dr. Doerr Feinkost, Miele, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, Dr. Oetker, Schamel Meerrettich, WMF and many other renowned companies.
